Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled. In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned… (Titus 2:6-8)

This is one of URCC’s more recent ministries, which was birthed in 2010. The main goal of the ministry is to form mentorship relationships with the young men of the community and in so doing,  help steer them away from a life of crime and violence and to lead more productive and disciplined lives. The Basketball Club consists of young, talented players from the community as well as outside of the community. They participated in the Southern Basketball League competition for the past three years moving from last place (in the first season) to third place in 2013, wow! The Basketball Club is on a mission to make it to the finals in 2014, win and move on to the National Basketball League. With the help of God, good coaching and team spirit, we believe we can!

The Basketball ministry is ably led by an organizational team consisting of Pastor Ian Muirhead, President; Dane Kelly, Manager; Juline Holness, Assistant Manager; Simon Brown, Coach.
