COMMUNITY CORNER a.k.a. “BADMINTON”

And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof (Zechariah 5-7)

This evangelistic outreach ministry is a weekly Friday night activity at which persons of all ages (children, teens, young adults and adults) gather in the church’s parking lot, which is transformed into a buzz of active games or persons just “chilling”. In the beginning, only badminton was played (over twenty years ago), but now there is football, skateboarding, basketball, netball, table games and other children’s games. All of these activities are supervised and the young people are engaged by members of the church in one-on-one evangelism.

At the end of the 2-hr games session there is a short presentation of the gospel and a cooked meal is offered primarily to the children and youths. Approximately 120 – 150 meals are served at each Friday night session.
